Harrow Caps is a small independent shop based in SoHo, New York.
Most of the people who find us arrive with the same story. They've worn a baseball cap for years, they're ready for something with a bit more character, and they've found out that buying a proper cap online is harder than it should be. The names get thrown around as if they're interchangeable — flat cap, ivy, newsboy, bakerboy, driver, cabbie — half the listings never say which shape they're actually selling, and hardly any of them tell you what will fit a bigger head.
That's the part we work hardest to get right. Every cap we carry is one size with an adjustable inner band, fitting about 22½ to 24 inches (57–61 cm), and we tell you plainly which shape each one is and how it sits.
What matters to us
Fit comes first. A cap that perches on top of your head is a cap you'll leave in the closet. The adjustable band is the whole idea — and if the one you order still isn't right, the exchange is free.
Every shape, called by its real name. A flat cap sits low and close. A newsboy gathers eight panels into a button for a fuller crown. A driver is the snuggest of the three. We label them properly so you get the cap you had in mind.
A real person replies. Email us and one of us reads it and writes back within 24 to 48 hours on business days. No ticket numbers, no scripts.
Look after it and it'll last
Almost every ruined cap goes the same one of two ways: hung on a hook by the peak until the crown pulls out of shape, or thrown in the washing machine. Neither can be undone.
We'd rather tell you that now than sell you a replacement in a few months. Rest it on its crown or use a retainer, and spot clean it when it needs it. Honestly, that's all it takes.
